JOIN THE TOURING NETWORK TEAM
Freelance Highland Screen Network
Do you love film and the Highlands and Islands? The Touring Network are looking for a brilliant organiser to help establish a Screen Network in the region.
In this exciting new role, you will be part of a small, friendly working group, seeking to empower and equip rural communities to host remarkable live cinema events across Scotland.
Supported by Regional Screen Scotland and The Touring Network, you will be responsible for setting up a Highland Film Network – to add to A Cinema Near You’s portfolio + The Touring Network’s member offer. You will work closely with communities; build meaningful partnerships; respond to surveys and research; and develop resources, services and events.
You should have experience of Film Exhibition, as a professional or volunteer; excellent verbal and written skills; lived experience of rural communities and remote-working and a strong awareness of the Scottish cultural sector.
This is a six-month, fixed-term post, funded by Regional Screen Scotland until April 2022.
Job Title: Freelance Highland Screen Network Coordinator
Location: Highlands & Islands (HOME-BASED)
Fee: £5400 + reasonable expenses (fee based on daily rate of £150)
Scope: 36 days over 6 months
– Formally establish a Highland Screen Network, responding to previous survey results, developing a framework, resources, services and information exchange events.
– Explore the potential for – and interest in a Highland Screen Forumwhich would include all current film exhibitors in the region.
