Journeys to Glasgow

Janey Godley, the multi award winning Scottish comedienne will tour to far-flung corners of Scotland, delivering her own show and gathering stories and images as she goes. These will be celebrated during Festival 2014 with comedy bus tours utilising a vintage Bedford classic bus, stand up shows featuring Scottish and Commonwealth artists, a dedicated you tube channel and a soundslides film of the journey. Janey, who’s other talents include playwright, award winning blogger, best-selling author and former Scotsman newspaper columnist, will be joined by her equally talented daughter, the actress and stand-up Ashley Storrie throughout the project. Janey hopes to visit venues which have not previously hosted stand-up comedy, and will support an “open spot” for any newcomer wishing to “give it a go”.

This show is touring as part of Glasgow 2014 in conjunction with the Commonwealth Games.
