Macbeth the Remix

Shakespeare’s classic tale of ambition and treachery reworked & remixed, with stunning video projections and fire sculptures, dramatic live action and music, and a strong community involvement from pipers to martial artists. Plus an especially formed remix choir and live band, all staged in the grounds of Brodie Castle in the shadow of the ‘Macbeth’s Hillock’. A one hour production of Macbeth like you have never seen before.

This imaginative 21st Century remix brings to life Shakespeare’s infamous ‘Scottish Play’ in a creatively explosive, post-modern production that places the audience directly at the heart of the bloody battle for Alba’s future. Beforehand, there will be a themed market, street theatre and performance installations, with stalls, including Speyside Craft Brewery and Macbeth’s butchers. Something wicked this way comes, and he’s riding a motorbike.

Market opens at 7pm and show time is 8pm.
Thurs 25 Sept public dress £5 (limited numbers).
Suitable for all ages but, not recommended for under 8s.

This is an open-air event so please dress appropriately, bring a blanket and, in case of  rain, an umbrella. The performance is one hour in duration and if you require a seat, bring a camping chair.
