Charlie Mckerron, recently described as a wonderful high octane fiddler and composer of (Capercaillie) and (Session A9) has played with Marc Clement (BlazinFiddles) in duo combinations for over 15 years. The duo explore a stellar array of musical styles through the jazz influenced, rhythmically driven guitar work of Clement and Mckerrons International repertoire of fiddle music through his years of Globe trotting. Marc Clement is also a talented singer and the duo interweave around his musical delivery of contemporary folk songs. Mckerron (composer of the year in the 2005 Scots Trad music awards) uses world music influences in some of his compositions but what unites them is an unbridled passion for Scottish traditional music.

A high percentage of their repertoire is Scottish and Irish music with a mix of old and new compositions. The band also show case their own self penned material from slow Airs to the rabble rousing foot stomping jigs and reels that will get any crowd going. Clements songs range from Dylans Dark Eyes to John Martin and Irish songwriter Declan ORourkes more Celtic material. The duo also cover music from Spain, Scandinavia, Canada, the USA and Brittan
