TANTALUS AND A PAIR OF GENES
22 March, 2019 @ 7:30 pm
£10The last chance to see plan B, Scotland’s finest purveyors of delightful dance theatre, touring their final production.
TANTALUS
Created and performed by Neil Joseph Price (Herald Culture Award Best Dance Performer 2017). Inspired by the Greek mythological figure, this solo explores the emotional journey for a man pulled in conflicting directions, whilst seeking his own independence and fulfilment.
A PAIR OF GENES
A witty and thought-provoking dance-theatre duet choreographed by Frank McConnell for himself and Neil Joseph Price. The piece delves into how our invisible genetic make-up contributes to a sense of identity. In DNA analysis, though related by blood, one of the performers exhibits an additional chromosome; and with technology ever increasing, the show considers the imperceptible de-population of people with Down’s Syndrome.
