In this one-woman performance, Alice recalls the inspiring true story of a group of 1970’s ‘genteel housewives’ who battled for 10 years to save a forest in her native Sydney – sparking a nationwide movement to protect land and nature across Australia.
Beautifully observed, this is a joyful and timely celebration of community action that led to a global conservation movement.
“…sweetly nostalgic and heroically farcical. There’s one-liners, a brilliant sight gag with some vintage Tupperware, a running gag about Pavlova…” The Wee Review
“Cooper’s story feels as light and breezy as any play with a jazzercize montage in it must be, but at its heart it captures something simple and true about people putting aside political division and doing what’s right” The Stage
