In the distant past Nick was a teacher before running away to the theatre - he worked at Cumbernauld Theatre for three years before pursuing a career as a freelance writer and director of community theatre across Scotland and in England. He has written and directed touring theatre, youth theatre, TIE, Christmas shows and community plays. Nick continues to write and director, and work on a freelance basis on community focused projects.
During the Covid pandemic he and Dingwall Players staged site specific A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Treasure Island outdoors at Foulis Storehouse and A Highland Nativity, based on the Medieval Mystery Plays and staged in Dingwall Auction Mart complete with a donkey, Shetland pony and two pygmy goats!
Nick currently runs the Just Act adult drama group at Eden Court Theatre
