A big hello to our new members Mambo Jambo, Lauren Collier, Liz Carruthers and Chloe Matharu.

Thanks to everyone who attended our Safeguarding workshops. We hope you found them useful and encourage you to return the feedback form.

Due to annual leave and caring responsibilities over the summer, the team will be operating at reduced capacity between Mon 17 June and Mon 19 August. The office will remain open, but we urge any funding applications or support requests for activity taking place between now and September to reach us by Fri 14 June at the latest, to allow us sufficient time to process.

We have so far awarded four grants from our new Programming Pot. Lots of brilliant live performances heading to Tayvallich Village Hall and Skye Bridge Studios! If you’re a promoter/programmer and would like to discuss a project and/or eligibility please email fee@thetouringnetwork.com

It was lovely to see so many of you at SCVO’s Village and Community Hall conference in Birnam last week. We made lots of connections and are looking at ways we can work more closely with other organisations to benefit our members.

The date for June’s Network Meet-Up tbc so keep an eye on emails and socials. We’ll be discussing Fair Fees for performers with Equity and Scottish Musician’s Union – one not to miss!

We’re compiling information for your entry on our new website. Julia will be in touch for biogs and images if we don’t have these already.

The next micro-network tour is soon to hit the road. Catch Frankie Morrow at Nairn Community & Arts Centre on 30 May, Resolis Arts 31 May, Eden Court 2 June, Ardross Village Hall 3 June and Applecross Village Hall 6 June.

Nairn Community & Arts are offering a paid support act slot to local musicians to open for Frankie Morrow. The closing date is today so get in quick if you’re interested. Email contact@nairncc.co.uk

Performers, a reminder to join Eden Court Connect: a free scheme that offers desk space, networking, invites and discounted tickets for creatives in the Highlands & Islands. Read more
