Our Supported Programme 2022 is here! Carefully selected by our new Promotors’ Panel, the following live performances are now available for booking across the region.

Allotment, Nutshell Theatre
A dark comedy about the complex and quirky relationship between two sisters as they live out the seasons on their allotment. An immersive, open-air production, Allotment is a feast for the senses – a tale of life, death, pink fir apple potatoes and the secret power of worms.  Available for September 2022 bookings. Find out more.

Fergus McCreadie
Multi-award-winning pianist Fergus McCreadie’s music sings with excitement, jazz character and Scottish jigs and impressionism. Available for November 2022 bookings. Find out more.

Stanley Odd
A live hip-hop band based in Scotland, Stanley Odd are a force to be reckoned with (so says Clash Magazine). Their critically-acclaimed album, Stay Odd, is a collection of musical stories about outsiders, outcasts and the universally Odd, from witches and stolen bikes, to moonlight flits and radical, rebellious women, through hedonism, parenthood, lying politicians and universal outsiderdom. Available now until April 2023. Find out more.

Tickbox, Lubna Kerr
Based on her parent’s journey from middle-class life in Pakistan to Govan in Glasgow, Lubna’s one-woman play is sad, funny and life-affirming. Tickbox gives an insight into what life was like for immigrants and the impact that stress and discrimination had on their health and wellbeing. Available now until April 2023. Find out more.

Two in a Barrel, Ruxandra Cantir and Sarah Rose Graber
A highly physical clown-inspired show for the whole family about the destructive waste we create and the opportunity to change. Think Samuel Beckett meets Pixar! Available now until April 2023. Find out more.

Bursaries
Cairn members can apply for up to £1,000 to book one of our Supported Programme artists. We hope this will allow promoters to take more risks, programme different genres and encourage new and more diverse audiences to attend. The bursary allows you to pay a fair and reasonable fee to performers, who otherwise might not be able to tour to some of the more remote and rural areas of Scotland. Apply here.

We are grateful to this year’s programming contributors The SAY Award and Articulation who signposted artists to apply.
