You may have seen our recent advertisement for a Membership Administrator, so we’d like to welcome Bronwen Nixon to the team at The Touring Network. As of the 22 April, Bronwen will take on this roll, and will be the first point of contact for any membership queries – whether you’re an existing member, or interested in joining the Network.
“Before joining the team in April 2019, Bronwen was involved with a number of multi-art event production teams across Scotland and the North of England. She co-founded two successful event production companies; (Only Skin Theatre and SG Events) focusing in Theatre and Music whilst studying in Glasgow. Her studies specifically focused on the effect that artistic spaces can have on community development and integral societal functions. Having managed and administrated a number of inner-city projects, she was drawn to working in rural settings. This reinforced her understanding of the importance in providing art and encouraging a strong connection with isolated communities. She has been working with the Sound System Youth project since 2017 providing accessible music workshops to children across Scotland. Bronwen has had an interest in The Touring Network and their work in the Highlands and Islands for a number of years, connecting with rural communities as an artist as she moved to living in more northern areas of Scotland. “
We’d also like to take this opportunity to outline the roles and core working days for the rest of the team:
Jo McLean / CEO / Mon-Fri
Rhiannon McIntyre / Operations Manager / Mon-Thu
Claire Mackay / Marketing Manager (formerly Marketing and Events officer) / Mon – Wed
Bronwen Nixon / Membership Administrator (freelance) / tbc
The Touring Network is a remote working office and thus operates flexible working hours, so you can expect some shift in these days from time to time. Needless to say, you can get us by email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone on 01463 231328 .
