About the Go See Fund

The Go See fund enables promoter members to travel and see new work from all genres – helping to bring fresh ideas and programming inspiration to your own communities

In 2026/27 we have £4000 available for promoter members to attend key festivals and events across Scotland.

Who can apply?

This fund is for Touring Network members who are promoters, venues, village halls or programmers based in our region: Highland, Argyll & Bute, Moray, Orkney, Shetland, Western Isles, Clyde Isles and Perthshire.

We strongly encourage members to apply for the Go See fund whether or not you have programming experience.

Which festivals and shows can I apply to attend?

Dumfries and Galloway Arts Festival

Running since 1979, the D&G Arts Festival will take place 21 May-14 June. Shows include Sand, Silt, Flint by Fiona Soe Paing and The Bush by Alice Mary Cooper. See the full line-up.

Dance North’s annual festival of contemporary dance and performance will return on Sat 23 May-Sat 6 June with a curated programme of performances, workshops, talks and activities focused on Global Indigenous Artists. Line up to be announced.

Edinburgh International Children’s Festival

Two tickets are available for Touring Network members to attend the Edinburgh International Children’s Festival as part of the event delegate programme on 3 June 2026. The programme for the day incudes the following shows and events:

  • Cringe (10.00-11.00)
  • Boys Don’t Dance (13.00-14.00)
  • Festival networking event (15.00-17.00)
  • Toto Kerblammo! (19.00-20.10)
  • Option of networking dinner (19.30-22.00)

The approximate cost of this experience would be £47.50 without dinner or £72.50 with dinner.

Delegate registration also includes: A full delegate list, the Festival delegate manual, and access to recordings of all delegates-only events (within 24 hrs for 1 month). If you wish to attend on any other days you would have free access to delegate-only events such as artists’ sharings and talks, networking opportunities, and social events on those days as well.

If you can’t make this date, you’re welcome to apply to attend Edinburgh International Children’s Festival on other dates.

Edinburgh Festival Fringe

We are working with the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society, who are offering supported onboarding for members to engage with the Edinburgh Fringe, and specifically the Made in Scotland 2026 programme, taking place between 17-21 August. This support includes accreditation to access their Arts Industry services, and invitations to the Made in Scotland programme launch (May), pitching event and reception during August.

Made in Scotland is a curated showcase that promotes high-quality music, theatre and dance from Scotland-based artists.

This year’s programme was selected by an international panel of independent experts, and spans topics from defying societal expectations to inspiring collective change, coming-of-age stories to mortality, Scottish tradition and identity to international voices. See the full 2026 line-up.

If you can’t make these dates, you’re welcome to apply to attend the Edinburgh Fringe on other dates.

Applications Process

If you’re interested in a Go See opportunity taking place before 1 September

Email [email protected] with the following information by 5pm on 15 May 2026:

  • Tell us which Go See(s) you want to attend.
  • Tell us why you/your venue would benefit from your Go See.
  • Include an estimate of the amount of funding required to cover your costs. Funding will cover your accommodation, travel and show tickets.

If you’re interested in a Go See opportunity taking place from 1 September onwards

We’ll reserve some funds and will issue a further call to apply in a few months. However, if you wish, you’re welcome to express interest now for any of the opportunities.
