WHAT WE COLLECT


When you register for an event, sign up to our mailing list, apply for an opportunity, or submit an enquiry to The Touring Network, either via our website or via a third-party provider, we collect the personal information that you provide to us in the online form. This may include your name, email address, phone number, address, and organisation name.
 

When you join The Touring Network and engage with our services, we collect the personal information that you provide to us, for example your name, email address, phone number, address and organisation name, along with any other information that you choose to share with us in connection with your membership.

HOW WE USE IT


We use the information we collect in a number of ways, including:
 

  • to keep you informed of our relevant services, as well as opportunities and events taking place across the Network 
  • to process transactions 
  • to respond to enquiries  
  • to monitor engagement and interactions with our services 
  • for any other purposes about which we notify members and users. 

 The information we collect from our website via cookies is used to: 

  • analyse visitors use of our website  

improve our website and make sure the content is relevant and the usability is effective.

Newsletters & Promotional Emails
 
We use Mailchimp, a third-party provider, to send our member newsletters, occasional promotional e-flyers, and monthly What’s On guide to subscribers of our newsletter mailing list. You can view their privacy policy here 

Event Registration  

We sometimes use Eventbrite, a third-party provider, to manage our events.  You can view their privacy policy here 

Membership Sign Up and Application Forms 

We use a number of third-party providers including WordPress, Typeform and Podio, to create and collect form submissions for new members, job applications, and other opportunities that require an application form to be completed. You can view their privacy policies linked above.  

Payments 

We use GoCardless, Stripe and Xero, third party providers, to process and collect recurring direct debit payments for membership fees and other service-related payments.

For any platforms we may use on a temporary basis, not described above, we remain committed to adhering to the same principles of data handling and storage.

Listings
We work with Data Thistle to gather and distribute event listings for our own website and third-party sites, ie Visit Scotland. Combined, these platforms reach an audience of more than 10 million people every month. You can view Data Thistle’s privacy policy here 

Newsletters and Features
At times we draw information about performers, venues and shows from Tourbook for promotional purposes. You can view Tourbook’s privacy policy here 

 

WHERE WE STORE IT

 
We use Podio, a third-party provider, for our customer relationship management (CRM) and project management system. This secure cloud-based system is where we store your personal data, and monitor your engagement and interactions with our services. You can view their privacy policy here 

We use Box, a third-party provider, for our file-storage system, which is a secure cloud-based system. You can view their privacy policy here 

 

HOW WE SHARE IT


We do not sell your Personal Information to anyone under any circumstances.
 

We may share your personal data with our members with prior permission. For example: 

  • Where there are legitimate interests 
  • Via our Online public Member Directory 
  • When managing online ticket sales with a partner and they need access to the names and contact details of ticket buyers 
  • When we are running an event and the sharing of delegate contact details is beneficial to all attendees.  

We will always make sure that you are aware at the time of providing your personal information, if this is the case. 

 

HOW TO CHANGE YOUR PREFERENCES


You can opt-out of receiving newsletters and promotional communications from us at any time by clicking on the Unsubscribe or the Update Profile link in the email communications we send via Mailchimp. 
 

If you are a member of The Touring Network, or are engaged with any of our services, we may continue to contact you with non-promotional communications related to your membership and/or the services we provided you.
