Looking back at The Gathering 2026

Held on 20-21 March in The Birks Cinema and The Town Hall, Aberfeldy, The Gathering is The Touring Network’s annual event for everyone involved or interested in rural touring.

This year’s event brought together around 100 members – a diverse mix of promoters, performers and creative professionals – to connect, share and see high-quality tour-ready work suited to rural venues.

I felt energised to plan for a rural tour after the positive networking from venues this year. You do a great job of creating a relaxed supportive enviroment where people feel comfortable to talk openly.
I absolutely loved it, was sad to leave. I can’t wait for 2027!
It helped me to understand the process and practice and how to approach programmers.
