Sarah Irvine’s musical identity is a tapestry of contrasts: from the eccentric energy of an Australian circus clown band to the storied traditions of Edinburgh’s folk scene. After years with the duo Weird Cousins and touring with Moteh Parrott, the transformative arrival of motherhood pushed her to claim her own space as a songwriter. Backed by Creative Scotland, her forthcoming debut, Painted Light (October 2026), is a defiant, beautiful recognition of the ways we can all be cracked open by love.
