£10BELIEF is a one-woman play featuring Salish actress Julie Cajune. The multidimensional performance is a unique mixture of interconnected Salish women’s stories, poetry, and live music. Each story intimately invites the audience to believe in one’s true self, to believe in magic, and to believe in love.
If you have ever doubted love’s ability to find you or if you have ever stopped believing in magic, then this play is a must-see. The performance will remind you of all that is good inside you. Generations of Salish women have endured loss and tragedy, yet here are women strong enough to find their way back to knowing their beauty through their connection to the land, and re-establishing a connection to their true selves.
Julie Cajune and award-winning Salish writer Jennifer Finley collaborated on the script for Belief. Linda Grinde adapted the stories for stage and is director of the performance. The journey through Belief is guided by original music from internationally acclaimed musicians.
BELIEF is contemporary American Indian Theater at its finest. It is a gift of empowerment, with a powerful woman and poetic words as your guide, accompanied by a stunning and haunting original musical score.
