In the space of only a short few years, Blue Rose Code, Edinburgh-born Ross Wilson, is now being celebrated by the industry and fans alike.

With his music eschewing traditional definitions – there are influences of soul, pop, jazz and folk leaving you unsure where to place it – perhaps the best way to describe it is, simply, passionate.

Ross has a passion for music that flows through every track on his albums. Indeed, it is this passion that has led his second album ‘The Ballads of Peckham Rye’ to critical acclaim. His song writing is ‘clever, witty and knowing’ but can switch to heartbreaking sentimentality just as easily. There is an openness to him that is both disarming and refreshing.
