Ecotones by Komorebi

Komorebi are an exciting new trad music duo featuring Siannie Moodie on clarsach and Cameron Newell on fiddle. ‘Komorebi’ is the Japanese word for light dappling through leaves an image they evoke through their music.

This summer, they have been working on their Creative Scotland/TRACS-funded project, Ecotones. Through this project, they are creating new compositions inspired by the ecosystems between land and sea, and the Gaelic folklore that arises from these spaces. In early October, they will spend time in Findhorn creating music inspired by the Duneland ecosystem, which will also be shared as part of the Ecotones show at the Universal Hall.
