The Loveboat Big Band

The Loveboat Big Band is Scotland’s premier swing sensation. The Loveboat’s first launched amid the heyday of the legendary Bongo Club Cabaret, then the hottest late-night haunt of the Edinburgh Festival, during the mid-1990s.

They feature up to 16 first-class musicians from a dozen leading Scottish acts – including The Bevvy Sisters, Babelfish, Orkestra del Sol, Mr McFall’s Chamber and Hidden Orchestra – this brilliantly motley crew deliver a fabulously seductive blend of vintage swing classics and contemporary pop hits, all given the unique Loveboat treatment: lashings of louche, sassy horns, lush yet elegant strings, ultra-funky rhythm work and thrillingly voluptuous vocals.
