A two-part tour of Dileab Ailean–the Legacy of Allan MacArthur will begin with the original MacArthur family from Newfoundland who visit their ancestral home and bring back traditons that have endured as well as new compositons. They are multi-instrumental, with styes that reflect the ancient and modern and consist of award-winning singers and musicians as well as dancers. In handing on this legacy to Scottish musicians the music and songs will become part of Scotland’s vibrant traditional music repertoire.
