OBI Club: Shaka Loves You

Based in Glasgow and made up of 2 snowboard instructors the duo boast a full audio/visual show with live percussion! Effortlessly fusing elements of funk, soul, hip-hop, party breaks, disco, and drum & bass, Shaka create a party rocking live show.

Through their weekly residency at The Buff Club and regular slots at UK surf/board comps, the slick duo have been rapidly cementing their reputation for very tidy, party focussed, beat orientated sets.

Since forming in 2012 they have already shared the stage with heavyweights such as DJ Yoda, A.Skillz, Featurecast, Slynk, B-Side and The Funk Hunters and are regularly producing their own edits, remixes, tracks and videos. With, DJ, blog and radio support flowing in for the boys’ production’s and their debut EP going to number 1 on Juno they are equally at home in the studio as they are on stage.

Shaka have an already impressive number of gigs and performances behind them from sold out shows at Cabaret Voltaire in Edinburgh to festival appearances at T in the Park, gigs for Red Bull & Skullcandy and their weekly residency at Glasgow’s home of funk & soul; The Buff Club.

This will be their 3rd visit to The Old Bridge, so we’re left in no doubt of the fun in store.
