Scottish Ensemble: Classical Season

Scottish Ensemble, the UKs only professional string orchestra give their first ever concert series in Shetland with three contrasting chamber music concerts. Events include a performance on violin and viola from talented husband-and-wife team Jonathan Morton and Clio Gould, two magnificent quintets from Mozart and Brahms and an evening of cello and violin duos. Cellist Alison Lawrance and violinist Cheryl Crockett perform this arrangement of Halvorsen’s Passacaglia for violin and viola.

Scottish Ensemble Artistic Director Jonathan Morton is joined by SE Director Emeritus and current leader of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra Clio Gould for a handpicked selection of violin and viola duos from Mozart to Martin.
