Shooglenifty, formed in 1990, are pioneers of “acid-croft,” blending traditional Scottish melodies with driving contemporary beats, funk-tinged basslines and global influences.

Their high-energy, dance-inducing sound has taken them from village halls to major international stages, earning them a reputation as trailblazers for modern Scottish music. Now marking 35 years with a vibrant new lineup, they’re recording their 10th album ahead of a 2026 release.
