About the Go See Fund

The Go See fund enables promoter members to travel and see new work from all genres – helping to bring fresh ideas and programming inspiration to your own communities.

In 2026/27 we have £4000 available for promoter members to attend key festivals and events across Scotland.

Who can apply?

This fund is for Touring Network members who are promoters, venues, village halls or programmers based in our region: Highland, Argyll & Bute, Moray, Orkney, Shetland, Western Isles, Clyde Isles and Perthshire.

We strongly encourage members to apply for the Go See fund whether or not you have programming experience.

Which festivals and shows can I apply to attend?

Celtic Connections

Taking place 14-31 January 2027, Celtic Connections is Glasgow’s annual folk, roots and world music festival, celebrating Celtic music and its connections to cultures across the globe. Showcase Scotland – the industry event aiming to secure international and national bookings for artists – will also take place during Celtic Connections.

Undercurrents

Taking place February 2027, Undercurrents is a new annual event from Manipulate Arts; a space for raw ideas, bold experiments and fresh, untested work. Platforming work emerging from Manipulate Arts’ talent development programmes and other exciting new ideas in puppetry, visual theatre and animation from across the sector.

Go See Peer Promoter Shows

Apply to the Go See fund to enable you to travel and see shows taking place across The Touring Network’s member venues. A chance to connect more deeply with other members, and to experience their venues first-hand.

Other shows

If there’s a festival or show not listed you would like to attend, you’re welcome to apply – just give us the details in your application.

Applications Process

Our second round of Go See funding for 2026/27 will open on Monday 2 November and will close on Monday 30 November at 5pm.

Between 2-30 November 2026 promoter members can email [email protected] with the following information:

  • Tell us which Go See(s) you want to attend.
  • Tell us why you/your venue would benefit from your Go See.
  • Include an estimate of the amount of funding required to cover your costs. Funding will cover your accommodation, travel and show tickets.

If there’s more interest than funds allow our selection will be based on need, and ensuring a diversity of experience within the successful applicants.

We will share the outcome of the applications process on, or before, 15 December.

Reporting requirements

If you receive Go See funding, we will invite you to share your experiences and findings with other members at one of our friendly and informal online Promoters’ Programme Pitch-ins.
