How to apply

The Seed Fund aims to
Allow you to plant a seed that will develop your practice, ideas or organisation and benefit the wider network. It’s easy to apply, with a quick turnaround. No idea is too tiny or too wild!
What do you fund?
Individual growth: help with the cost of rehearsal space, event attendance, travel, training, covering the cost for a new showreel or promotional shots, writing a funding application.
Community growth with other members of The Touring Network: trialling a joint marketing or sustainability initiative, pooling resources, collaborative learning or training.
Who can apply?
The Seed Fund is available to:
- Cairn members of the Touring Network.
- Corrie members are eligible to apply, but will need to have a supporting Cairn promoter to work in partnership with.
How much can I apply for?
The Touring Network’s Seed Fund has £12,000 available to distribute to members for projects that will take place during the period April 2026 – April 2028.
Each member can apply for funding up to a maximum of £500.
What is the applications process?
Please email [email protected] to discuss your idea and eligibility for the fund.
Expectations and follow-up
We know not all seeds germinate and there is no pressure to deliver on your ideas. The Seed Fund is about creating space to think or try new things. We’ll follow up with a phone call six months later to see how things have progressed and how we might be able to support you further.
It was an incredibly easy, supported and fluid process, the application was straight forward and from being awarded support from the fund, I feel confident and able, from this first step towards working on a much bigger project.
