Dance

I'm a choreographer, dancer and physical theatre artist working both indoors and in the landscape.

I'm passionate about the transformational power of artistic practices that enrich the lives of audiences, participants and performers, as well as expanding the concept of who can participate in art making. This has led to choreographing, performing and teaching in the USA, in Scotland and abroad across a wide variety of professional, educational and community contexts, working with dancers of all ages in inclusive environments.

Whether alone or in a collaborative group, I often begin movement research with improvisation, writing and drawing in order to access varied dimensions of authentic experience. Exploring fresh perspectives on life, relationships, belonging, and connections with the natural world inspire my curiosity. Whether the work is intended to be lighthearted or serious, my practice is informed by contemporary dance techniques, dance and theatre improvisation, yoga and somatic practices, as well as elements of character, narrative, text and more recently, video.
