Voicefest CIC (a Community Interest Company) runs Voice Festival Brechin known as Voicefest, a voice based community music event, held in the historic Cathedral City of Brechin. This inclusive annual event (now in its second year - 18-20th September 2026) strives to bring the community together through music and find its voice. The main venue is the historic Brechin Cathedral and organisers aim to present a varied programme from early choral music, to contemporary singer/songwriters, community choirs and the likes of spoken word, story telling, barbershop and (being the voice of the cathedral) organ music. Local performers will feature alongside national and even international productions which Angus residents would normally have to travel further afield to see. Organisers hope to nurture emerging talent and broaden horizons for audiences both young g and old, including those living with dementia.
