Von Dodds is a new solo project from Scottish chanteuse Sophie Dodds. With sparse electric guitar under resonating vocals, Von Dodds aims to create worlds that are dark, enveloping and a little bit beautiful. Comparisons have been made to Portishead, early Liz Phair and 60s jazz divas. Her lyrics are honest, verging on brutal, and always concerned with landscape - both physical and psychic.

Dodds is the former frontwoman of Storm the Palace (highlights include BBC coverage, Creative Scotland and Help Musicians Funding, Folk Radio's best albums of 2022, and touring internationally). Storm the Palace did a memorable tour of the Highlands & Islands in 2018, with the help of the Touring Network.
