Our approach highlighted in UK Music’s Manifesto

The Touring Network has been featured as a case study in UK Music’s Manifesto for Music Scotland.
The Touring Network’s approach to supporting live music performance across the Highlands and Islands has been featured in UK Music’s recent Manifesto for Music Scotland.
The Manifesto proposes a five-point plan to create thousands of jobs and boost economic growth, and highlights The Touring Network as a key example of how rural touring infrastructure can be strengthened through strategic public support.
The Manifesto states that grassroots infrastructure — including studios, touring artists, management and venues — requires coordinated, long-term backing to secure its future, noting that “successful initiatives such as The Touring Network (Highlands and Islands) that grow grassroots live capacity in underserved rural regions should be supported long-term, and be considered as a model to replicate in other areas, while not replacing dedicated touring support for artists.”
