Discover the impact of The Touring Network – Annual Review 2024/25 is now live

Our latest Annual Review, covering the period April 2024 – March 2025, is now live – and it’s full of stories celebrating the power of connection and creativity.

Despite a challenging year of funding uncertainty, our members continued to bring live performance to local halls, stages, and community spaces — proving once again that rural is radical.

The Annual Review highlights the positive impact of our Programming Pot fund, which supported 21 performers to reach 16 communities and nearly 1,700 audience members, and the growth of our Micro-Networks in the Highlands and Argyll & Bute that are encouraging the development of better-routed, more sustainable tours.

Our events schedule saw more than 220 members join meet-ups and workshops across the period, with 90% of participants saying they felt more connected, and underlining our members’ commitment to developing and sustaining live performance in their communities.

Alongside this, The Touring Network provided over 530 hours of one-to-one advice – practical support that has helped members navigate fundraising, programming and audience development – and maintained relationships with a number of key cultural sector peers and regional development members. At a time when isolation and uncertainty were very real, all these connections mattered more than ever.
