Mick Flavin is excited to come to Skye on Thursday 28th August 2014 with one of Scotland’s finest Band’s Manson Grant & The Dynamos an explosion of Country & Irish Music.
Mick – now in his 27th year of unparrelled success and according to his legion of fans sounding better than ever – recently released The Fields Of Home, his 19th album, which is getting tremendous airplay on local, national and internet radio and tv stations all over the globe. Fields of Home includes great original songs including ‘She Dont Look That Lonely’ written by Jon Philibert, ‘Maybe Someday’ written by Patsy Cavanagh and a spectacular cover of ‘Never Too Old To Feel Young At Heart’ written by Vincent Soye.
Mick has performed at the Wembley Festival in London to an audience of 10,000 people, had the opportunity to share the stage with Tammy Wynette, Waylon Jennings and Boxcar Willie and met with his childhood hero Buck Owens. In 2005 he was nominated for the Country Music Global Artist Award – the first time an Irish Country Music Artist had ever been nominated for this prestigious award. This perhaps thanks to Mick’s unforgettable live show, with robust vocals conveying startling emotion.
The Dynamos are well known as a truly professional band in the British music scene. Voted ‘one of Scotland’s top ten bands’, they are an energetic outfit able to adapt their music programme to many different styles, be it playing in a theatre situation or to a packed dance floor.
